Donald Trump said the US no longer needs NATO's help after the allies refused to participate in the operation in the Strait of Hormuz.

After NATO allies refused to help the US unblock the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said he no longer needed their help.

“Most of our NATO 'allies' have informed the United States that they do not want to participate in our military operation against the terrorist regime of Iran in the Middle East, despite the fact that almost all countries have strongly agreed with what we are doing and that Iran cannot, in any way, shape or form, be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.

However, I'm not surprised by their actions, because I've always viewed NATO, where we spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year defending these same countries, as a one-way street—we'll defend them, but they'll do nothing for us, especially in a time of need. Fortunately, we've destroyed Iran's military—their navy is gone, their air force is gone, their air defenses and radars are gone, and perhaps most importantly, their leaders at virtually every level are gone, never to threaten us, our Middle Eastern allies, or the world again! Because we've achieved such military success, we no longer “need” or want help from NATO countries—we never got it!

The same could be said of Japan, Australia, or South Korea. In fact, speaking as President of the United States of America, by far the most powerful country in the world, we don't need anyone's help,” the US President wrote.
