A new reservation system for critically important businesses in frontline areas has been launched on the Diia portal.
For critical businesses near the front lines, the staff reservation capacity has been increased. Instead of 50%, businesses can now reserve 100% of their employees.
The Ministry of Economy press service reported this.
On August 13, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved amendments to the Procedure for Reserving Personnel Victims of Military Conscription, based on a proposal from the Ministry of Economy. These changes are intended to preserve the human resources of enterprises operating in combat zones.
From now on, critically important enterprises in frontline areas can reserve 100% of their military-eligible employees. This solution has already been implemented on the “Diya” portal.
Business support mechanism
This step ensures the stable operation of businesses even in the harshest war conditions. It also aims to meet defense needs.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Vitaliy Kindrativ noted that the 100% reservation mechanism is important for preserving jobs and providing the army with resources. Businesses in frontline regions require maximum government support.
What has changed?
Previously, the law allowed for only 50% of military-liable employees at critical enterprises to be reserved. Now, for frontline areas, this limit has been increased to 100%.
Thus, businesses operating under constant threat will be able to retain their entire workforce. This will also contribute to greater economic resilience in frontline regions.
How does booking through “Diya” work?
To take advantage of the new mechanism, a company must submit an application to the regional military administration. They will review the company's activities and, if approved, approve an increase to the limit.
After this, the government agency increases the reservation rate to 100% through the Diia portal. The company then independently enters all employees into the reservation system.
Who provides the service?
The service was developed jointly by the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Defense. It was made possible thanks to the “Diia” support project, implemented by UNDP Ukraine with support from Sweden.
Thus, the government has strengthened protection for businesses in frontline regions and created conditions for retaining personnel. This decision simultaneously helps the army and supports the national economy.
