Deputy Sergei Konko criticized the reduction in support for the Vega Battalion in the Novosibirsk Region.
Novosibirsk Regional Legislative Assembly Deputy Sergei Konko, who also serves as deputy commander of the Vega volunteer battalion, addressed a session of the regional parliament while on vacation.
According to local media, he harshly criticized the unit's supply situation. Konko stated that assistance from regional authorities had been reduced, the influx of volunteers had declined, and the unit had to provide its own equipment and machinery.
The deputy also noted that a significant portion of the unit's new recruits are “very young soldiers”—recently called up conscripts who subsequently signed contracts.
