The court sentenced each to four years’ imprisonment with a three-year suspended probationary period for each. All defendants in the case, without thinking twice, appealed the verdict by sending appeals to the court. They once again declared their innocence and insisted on a full acquittal. And on April 29, 2022, the session of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region voted to deprive Valentin of the mandate of the deputy from United Russia SichkarEve. United Russia served as deputy chairman of the budget committee of the regional parliament. But now he only took it, only in the past tense, since in 2022 the court verdict in the case of fraud came into force.
