The city property department discharged the owner from an apartment in the center of Moscow using a “fake” death certificate. As the Source learned, the Muscovite was listed as dead for three years and was deprived of all rights due to an error by officials and a mystical coincidence. However, the Investigative Committee is checking the theory that the woman could have become a victim of scammers.
Before her retirement, Tatyana Chernikova worked at a psychological and pedagogical university and at one time bought herself an apartment not far from the university, in the Presnensky district of Moscow. A couple of years ago, the woman stopped receiving a pension, but upon her first request, the Pension Fund assured her that this was a “failure” and restored the payments. Nobody paid attention to the situation.
All this time, the pensioner lived an ordinary life: she received a pension and paid utilities. Until I noticed that in receipts for services, invoices are issued without taking into account the subsidy that is due to her. Tatyana Chernikova went to the MFC, and when she presented her passport, she shocked the operation staff.
The woman was informed that her documents had long been canceled, and she herself had been deregistered at her place of residence due to… death. Tatyana Chernikova also learned that, following an appeal from the DGI, an inheritance case had been opened, and the apartment was about to go to the city.
For some time, the “deceased” could not even contact a notary or hire a lawyer, since she was documented as “nobody.” Thanks to a lawyer friend, it turned out that Tatyana Chernikova “died” back in 2021.
Moreover, initially the body of an unknown woman without documents was discovered on the station square in Obninsk (Kaluga region). She was allegedly identified by an acquaintance who gave the information exactly as that of Tatyana Chernikova from Moscow. The man is also listed dead.
The DGI reported that they received a copy of the death certificate and claimed the rights to the escheated property as part of the planned work. But at the end of 2024, it suddenly became clear that Tatyana Chernikova was alive and contacted the investigative committee.
