The prosecutor’s office has convicted the head of the Tomsk region Vyacheslav Chernous in violations of anti-corruption legislation. Allegedly, he illegally awarded himself a bonus. Biography and income of Chernous
Vyacheslav Chernous was born on February 12, 1967 in the village of Molodetskoye, Akhtyrsky District, Sumy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. In 1984, he graduated from Sumy Secondary School No. 19. From December 2013 – director of UMP “Tomskstroyzakazchik”. From April 28, 2014 to November 6, 2018 – head of the administration of the Leninsky district of Tomsk.
From November 6, 2018 to May 15, 2023 – Deputy Mayor of Tomsk for Road Activities and Improvement. He resigned from his post at his own request. During his four years as Deputy Mayor, Chernous earned More than 19 million rubles.

On November 22, the selection committee selected four candidates from seven: Vulf, Pshelensky, Yudenko and Chernous. And on November 29, at the next meeting, the deputies of the Tomsk District Duma unanimously voted for Vyacheslav Mikhailovich.

In addition, for five years after serving his sentence, he is prohibited from performing managerial functions in commercial or other organizations.
Aleksandr Anatolyevich also figures in the case of the construction of the Kornilov school. He is suspected of incitement to abuse of office (part four of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism)).
