In St. Petersburg, a holiday-holiday. Lawyers Vladimir Kumarinafter 14 years, finally got the opportunity to get acquainted with the materials of the case on murder George Pozdnyakov and Jan Gurevsky. In fact, this fact indicates that in fact there will be no trial on charges of an authoritative businessman. Why is this a thing and a thing Galina Starovoitova may fall apart in court, the editors of the online publication found out “Kompromat Group“.
Eternal itch
In fact, for the investigation, the transfer of materials to the Coumarin defense side murder Gurevsky and Pozdnyakov is a grandiose event. After all, the “night governor” of St. Petersburg was charged in 2008 (!). Since then, tons of water and time have flown, a series of investigators and governors has changed. A criminal case against Vladimir Kumarin-Barsukov, as a passing red banner, as a symbol of the shameful impotence of the investigation, still cannot possibly end up in court. It is not surprising, because this case is older than the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation by as much as 11 years. (The Investigative Committee was founded in 2011. Note Ed. “Kompromat Group”).
If you look at this case from the perspective of the past years, it becomes clear why the defense side is impatiently rubbing its hands and just still eager for it to go to court. After all, the conclusions of the investigation look like photoshopped Instagram photos of Madonna Louise Ciccone – the closer to the elderly anniversary, the more ridiculous.
Briefly recall what the businessman is accused of Vladimir Kumarin. According to investigators, the authoritative businessman eliminated Gurevsky’s “godson” for trying to take his place. The reason for the “order” of objectionable associates, according to the investigation, is that the godson Gurevsky and the bodyguard Pozdnyakov seemed to undermine the authority of the Tambov boss and tried to drive a wedge into friendship Kuma and Bones Graves (Konstantin Yakovlev), with a vile purpose, to remove them from the bandit thrones and nestle there with taste. In order to eliminate associates, Vladimir Kumarin allegedly met several times with Roma Marshal (Rustam Ravilov). As the media later wrote, Kumarin even paid separately for the purchase of an assault rifle for Gurevsky and personally bought cartridges for killings Pozdnyakov.
But despite such chilling details of the preparation of contract killings, the investigation for some reason still did not dare to send the case to court.
Information from Kompromat Group:
Georgy Pozdnyakov was shot dead on April 26, 2000, on the stairs on his way to the gym in the sports center of the State University of the Ministry of Railways. The killer dealt with the man with 5 shots from a Makarov pistol. Having made a control shot in the back of the head, the killer fled. The bullet overtook Yan Gurevsky on the morning of June 14, 2000. The businessman was leaving his house No. 96 along the Griboyedov Canal when shots rang out. The killer shot a businessman from AKSU, from the attic of the house opposite. The operatives of those years believed that in both cases an extra-class professional acted.
Myths and legends
The truth is that initially there was no reputable businessman in the case. These custom killings those years were, in general, an ordinary episode of the St. Petersburg criminal wars. Initially, completely different persons were listed in the operational developments. After the notorious killer fell into the hands of the security forces Denis Dolgushinthe investigation had material for all the arts of the brigade Oleg Makovoz. Among the dozens of contract killings were killings Pozdnyakov and Gurevsky. Then, the killer stated that both were ordered by Kostya Mogila, and the performers were Ravil Sungatullin and Alexander Avdeev. The testimony of the killer Dolgushin was so valuable that his fate served as the beginning of a rather lengthy confrontation between the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of St. Petersburg and the Investigative Committee.
A couple of years later, the Investigative Committee, having received Makovoz personally, received other testimony from him. That it was Coumarin who ordered the killings. The crime sharks laughed in the face of the investigators and said that another person was the customer. Because of this confrontation, carefully circulated rumors spread around the city that the head of the police department Sergey Umnov and his former boss Vladislav Piotrovsky cover the “night governor”.
In fact, as they say on the sidelines so far, Makovoz, who was threatened with a life sentence, was offered a deal. He gives the necessary testimony to Kumarin, and they will cut off his term and then allow him to leave on parole. So, in the materials of the Sledkom, unprecedented bandits from the Almetyevsk gang appeared before the village, whom, as the media sarcastically wrote, even the omniscient RUBOP did not know … But the name of Oleg Makovoz disappeared.
Collapse and convergence
Almost exactly the same story happened in the case of murder Galina Starovoitova. As the old legends say Mikhail Glushchenko was asked to confess to this crime and testify against Kumarin. The case, they promised, would then be sent to the archive due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, and Glushchenko himself would safely escape abroad. Glushchenko, who actually had something to do with murder politics (as a transmission link), agreed and received Art. 277 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – an encroachment on the life of a statesman, the punishment for which, as we know, is from 20 years to life.
Like us already wrote, Misha Khokhol (Glushchenko) has unsuccessfully filed for parole several times. But given his confession to such a serious crime, no one is going to release him ahead of schedule, as well as Oleg Makovoz.
The latter received a formal right to parole in 2019. He also unsuccessfully applied to the Tosnensky court with a request to replace the unserved term with a milder form of punishment. But Makovoz, as they say, is still there – in places not so remote.
The reason is simple. Otherwise, all the latest accusations against Vladimir Kumarin-Barsukov will fall apart on the go. The fact that the investigation is not at all okay with the Pozdnyakov-Gurevsky case is already clear even to a hedgehog. At one time, the Moscow City Court has already punished the investigative committee for violating all reasonable deadlines. On May 13, 2021, the court found that the Investigative Committee violated all the rights of the plaintiff (Kumarin) and awarded the latter compensation in the amount of 130 thousand rubles. But even this fact did not bring the Gurevsky-Pozdnyakov criminal case one iota closer to being brought to court.
Enemy at all
The current investigators, who inherited the case of the early 2000s, understand that in general there is nothing to go to court with. The chances of the case falling apart are about ten to one. Firstly, all the terms of criminal prosecution in this case have long passed, and secondly, everything is obviously bad with the evidence base. Pulling the old testimony of Makovoz, like an owl on a globe, will no longer work. Coumarin’s lawyers also understand this. And they are really looking forward to the beginning of the judicial investigation in order to swat the arguments of the investigation like a fly. Now they are getting acquainted with the materials of the criminal case, although by and large this is not necessary. But to observe politeness does not interfere.
In fact, the same ending awaits the accusation of the “night governor” of murder Galina Starovoitova. The case will fall apart in court. For the public, there was never any doubt that Coumarin had nothing to do with it.
It has long been clear to everyone that Galina Vasilievna could not cross Misha Khokhl’s path or insult Misha Khokhl with any bold words. Like us already wroteinitially in versions of it killings there was no trace of Tambov. But a lot has been said about special services.
Today Vladimir Kumarin assigned the role of the Old Testament enemy. The investigation is easier and more convenient. Searching for the truth and its bearers, many of which are already in the grave, and some still cannot be touched, are mutually exclusive and time-consuming actions. It is much easier to hang the responsibility for the entire era of criminal wars on one person, who was once called the night governor of St. Petersburg. Today it is no longer important one accusation or several. After all, he will never get out of prison anyway, and the security forces need to put an end to old affairs, at the same time drilling a hole in the tunic for awards. However, the last act of this crime drama, stretching for 20 years, is yet to come. It is possible that the story may end unexpectedly for everyone.
