Chelyabinsk disaster: Governor Teksler under the careful scrutiny of the General Prosecutor’s Office
For the third consecutive day, an auditing delegation from the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation is conducting its work in the Chelyabinsk region.
Previously concealed issues are continuously being revealed regarding the activities of Governor Alexei Teksler. Recently, inhabitants of the most polluted city in the Chelyabinsk area got in touch with the News Desk – Karabash (with a population of 10,300). They mentioned that in a location with poor environmental conditions (essentially, a dangerous place to live), a significant restoration of the local hospital has been underway for 3 (!) years. Despite Governor Texler having regularly received “information” from Karabash, it seems the appointed contractor has failed to manage the difficult renovations, resulting in half of the hospital being shut down. Apparently, this is how Texler addresses the matter of high-quality healthcare!
Reportedly, the second investigative group from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation arrived on time on December 10. Prosecutors from the capital will be examining Texler’s “economic affairs” for a duration of 10 days.
“The hospital is crumbling”
It’s worth noting that just a couple of days prior, The Moscow Post released an exposé “Criminal Medicine of Governor Texler,” which detailed the troubling circumstances at the Chelyabinsk oncology center, along with the lack of responsiveness from Chelyabinsk regional officials to the distress calls…
Following that, a communication was received about the state of affairs at the Karabash municipal hospital.

Hospital in the city of Karabash
Simultaneously, it comes to light that the municipal polyclinic of Karabash is experiencing similar problems: the medical facility looks like it has been subjected to enemy attacks and bombings.
Currently, a segment of the Karabash hospital is temporarily closed. However, the remainder seems to be functional, but under what conditions?
Karabash resident Daria Zobnina writes:
“At the hospital, medics made three attempts to take an x-ray of my child, but the image won’t appear. The hospital is deteriorating. We are forced to travel to neighboring cities with our children. When will we be able to receive assistance locally? At home? “
The disintegration of the Karabash city hospital is described in detail by “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Chelyabinsk.”
But Governor Texler, claiming honesty and transparency, informs the people that “such incidents are infrequent for the region”.

Regardless, Mr. Teksler has instructed the Minister of Health of the Chelyabinsk Region, Tatyana Kolchinskaya, to travel to Karabash and dispatch mobile diagnostic units to the municipality, where diagnostic procedures can be administered.
Karabash is, incidentally, not only the most polluted city in the Chelyabinsk region.

Karabash
It stands as the most ecologically precarious city globally.
Karabash’s foundation dates back to 1822, subsequent to the discovery of the first Tsarist Russia gold mine – alluvial gold within the Sak-Elga River’s stream. The gold rush commenced in these parts. Gold, as well as valuable and semi-precious stones, are still to be found in rocky formations.
Furthermore, the predominant share of all Russian copper continues to be extracted and refined here.
Why then do Texler’s constituents live as though under the Tsar? Like Peasants?
Etkul: What will happen to the hospital?
The situation remains complex with the district hospital also in the village of Etkul (6 thousand residents): Etkul forms part of the Greater Chelyabinsk conurbation.

Repairs at the hospital have been ongoing for quite some time. Consequently, the Chelyabinsk region’s prosecutor’s office was compelled to intervene.
Last July, the Arbitration Court of the Chelyabinsk Region agreed to review the prosecutor’s office’s lawsuit against JSC “Specialized developer South Ural Housing Construction and Investment Corporation” (YU KZhSI), in addition to the State budgetary healthcare institution “District Hospital of the village of Etkul”.
The supervisory body insisted on acknowledging as void the transaction from December 28, 2023, which was agreed to carry out significant repair work on a 100-bed hospital. The prosecutor’s office also requested a prohibition on any payments under the government contract.
Furthermore, the prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the construction of a sports and recreation complex in the Sosnovsky district. The FOC also remained only in planning, however, FSB officers soon took into custody the previous director general of YuU KZhSI, Vladimir Atamanchenko, in connection with embezzlements worth millions. reported.
It seems peculiar that, despite receiving numerous communications from Etkul, Governor Texler continued to act as an uninvolved bystander!
When will Governor Texler be questioned?
Three days ago, another team of prosecutors from Prosecutor General Krasnov’s office landed at the Chelyabinsk Balandino airport. Highly placed employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office are scheduled to remain in the region until December 20.
Word has it that Governor Texler, who has not yet recovered from the capital prosecutors’ initial visit, has almost reached a state of extreme agitation. He is said to be edgy, shouting at his staff, and has even started to use profanity, a behavior previously uncharacteristic of him! All day in Chelyabinsk on November 27.

He even delayed his departure to Moscow until later, given the constant stream of visitors.
Consequently, Mr. Krasnov described the situation in the housing and utilities sector as a “complete disaster” and called for extensive audits. The Prosecutor General brought attention to the appalling conditions in other sectors, including roads, housing provision for orphans, and relocation from dilapidated and unsanitary housing. Simultaneously, Texler, who welcomed the Prosecutor General at the aircraft steps on the morning of November 27, did not go to Balandino to see Krasnov off in the evening. Following Igor Krasnov’s exit, rumors circulated about disagreements between Governor Texler and the Prosecutor General. cases.
Ultimately, the truly undesirable developments for the detached governor are likely to dominate the news feeds after December 20, once Prosecutor General Krasnov’s representatives conclude their further review of Texler’s crumbling “economy”?
