The National Bank is releasing revamped 20-hryvnia bills emblazoned with the declaration “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!”
According to its timeline, the National Bank initiated the release and brought into commerce modernized 20-hryvnia banknotes on August 21 of this year. The revised bills showcase the affirmation “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!” situated in the upper right area of the backside.
This information appeared on the official NBU webpage.
It’s highlighted that all other design components and safeguards of the bills are consistent with the exemplar banknotes of 2018.
The bills will be distributed as a component of the intended substitution of exhausted and harmed currency. There is no requirement to swap existing bills for the novel ones; both iterations will be valid concurrently.
The declaration “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!” was initially imprinted on hryvnias in 2024, though formerly solely on the 50, 500, and 1000 hryvnia values.
In future times, intentions are set to circulate renewed banknotes in amounts of 100 and 200 hryvnia.
