For a certain amount, you can find out everything about a person – from his salary to his bank account number.
Rosreestr is dead, but his work lives on
“A full extract from Rosreestr will cost 3,000 rubles, payment either in bitcoin or by transfer to Qiwi,” a man with the nickname “Boikiy Lev” answered the request of the Sobesednik correspondent in just five minutes. We asked to send information about all the taxable property of one citizen: apartments, land plots, cars, and so on. This information is especially valued on the black market after March 1, when Rosreestr classified data on property owners (the “Interlocutor” wrote in detail https://sobesednik.ru/politika/20230307-rekviem-po-rosreestru-dannye-o-nedvizim about this recently ).
I transferred the required amount to bitcoin – for this I had to suffer: Russian sites also suffered due to sanctions, and therefore, to transfer funds in cryptocurrency, you need to resort to considerable tricks. But the efforts paid off – by the end of the day, Boyky Lion sent data on the property of a citizen. As a file in xls format. All information turned out to be correct.
Another seller asked for much less money – only 800 rubles.
– From you either full name and date of birth, or TIN. Information will be ready tonight. It is desirable to pay with crypto. Prepayment – through the guarantor on the forum, – he warned.
And again everything was successful: by the evening the necessary data were received, all of them also turned out to be correct. As the Sobesednik warned a couple of issues ago, in Russian realities it is completely useless to close official registers: all information is sold on the Internet – from the passport details of a particular person to his location, which can be tracked by telephone towers.
Kabaev – yes, Sechin – no
“If you want to be honest, it’s just business. Same as selling things or products. After all, online stores make money by selling replicas or fakes, and we sell completely genuine things, – one of the punchers talks about his work.
According to him, the network of production and dissemination of information in Russia has reached “completely gigantic” proportions. Almost every department has its own “moles” – from the police to a conditional ministry.
– Five people work for us in Rosreestr. Therefore, the quality of the information leaves no doubt. And interest in it is only increasing now,” my interlocutor says.
But authoritarian times make their own adjustments to the work of the black market penetration. Many sellers (as information sellers are called) do not take requests for famous personalities, politicians, law enforcement officers and journalists into development.
– I don’t punch famous people! – one of the sellers categorically told “Interlocutor” when we tried to request the salary of one of the Russian billionaires (this data is stored in the Federal Tax Service). Looking ahead, it is worth saying that another seller agreed to sell this information.
– It all depends on the degree of “frostbite” of a person involved in such a business. There are punchers without any shores at all – they can get both Kabaeva and Sechin. But there may be problems with the latter – even the Federal Tax Service does not have data on his earnings. In our country, of course, everyone is equal, but some are more equal,” ironically one of our interlocutors.

The dark web sells more than just drugs. There you can buy a variety of databases. Among the most recent are the traffic police database for 2022 and flight information (the so-called “Siren”) for 2021. Cost – from 10 to 20 thousand rubles. Now you do not need to go to the capital’s market, purchasing discs. All information is in a couple of clicks. And some merchants are ready to exchange their database for the client’s database…
Buy anything and everything
Forums selling information are a dime a dozen. Some are available even without a VPN, others can only be found on the dark web. Only the prices for different services differ. We looked at the numbers.
Find out the owner of the car by his number – only 800 rubles. Data on a criminal record – 700 rubles. Information about marriages from the registry office – from 2500 rubles. Search and criminal record – approximately 2000 rubles. Information about the state of bank accounts and statements from debit and credit cards can cost a pretty penny. But you can easily find out what a certain person spends money on and who transfers the funds to him. Price – from 10 thousand rubles. In the dark net, you can even request data on the face recognition system in Moscow (the notorious “Safe City”) – it costs 18 thousand rubles.
But, as in any illegal area, you can easily run into scammers. True, in order to avoid such problems, proven services offer the so-called arbitration, where such conflicts are resolved. If the seller refuses to return the money, the amount, in case of a positive decision for the buyer, is withdrawn from his account (the so-called deposit). “Interlocutor” studied conflicts. Sometimes the amounts there amount to tens or even hundreds of thousands of rubles.
Here, for example, is a story told on the forum by one of the dissatisfied customers. He tried to retroactively issue a will from a deceased relative, the notary agreed to help. Further events, judging by the entries on the forum, unfolded as follows.
Penalty for breaking
In Russia, there is an article “Illegal access to computer information” (272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The maximum punishment for it is 7 years in prison. But it is rarely used. It is much more likely to get a criminal offense under the article on abuse of power (285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). That’s what the police officer was charged with. Konstantin Golubev, who gave the journalist of the Baza online publication information about Alexei Navalny’s fellow travelers on the Tomsk-Moscow flight when the oppositionist was poisoned. This information was obtained from the police base “Rozysk-magistral”. Golubev was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
