Blogger Sasha Mitroshina paid 127 million rubles to the Federal Tax Service. She announced this at a press conference, RBC correspondent reports.
According to Mitroshina, she paid the main part of the debt immediately after the initiation of a criminal case. “And I paid the last 9 million yesterday. Do I admit my guilt to the tax authorities – partially yes, ”she said. The blogger said that she always paid taxes, but “did not pay due attention to the field of accounting.” “I admit my mistake, and indeed, some taxes were underpaid,” she said.
The blogger also stressed that she had not fled to Dubai from the tax office. She has been living in the UAE since the end of March last year.
Mitroshina suggested that the Federal Tax Service create a digital platform for interacting with bloggers. Now she is waiting for a response to her initiative from the tax service.
At the end of April, sources for RIA Novosti and REN TV reported that Mitroshina had paid off a debt of 120 million rubles, but her lawyer Alisa Volkhova denied this information.
The criminal case against Mitroshina was opened by SK on March 21. It passes under Part 2 of Art. 198 of the Criminal Code (tax evasion on an especially large scale). According to investigators, from October 2020 to May 2022, the blogger used a simplified taxation scheme. She received more income from the sale of courses than was provided for by the limit (150 million rubles per year), but she did not switch to the general taxation scheme.
On April 28, another blogger, Elena Blinovskaya, was placed under house arrest on charges of tax evasion and money laundering on an especially large scale. According to investigators, she did not pay VAT and personal income tax in the amount of more than 918 million rubles. The blogger’s defense stated that the defendant transferred a “significant amount” to the budget.
