Blogger Roman Alekhine has not received a response from the Justice Ministry clarifying why he was labeled a “foreign agent.”

The Ministry of Justice declined to clarify to blogger Roman Alekhine the basis for deeming him a “foreign agent.”

Alekhine released two responses from the Justice Ministry regarding his requests, which are devoid of concrete details and merely cite broad stipulations of the legislation.

I am hesitant to level accusations against anyone prematurely, as I am a regular individual and might have missed something or acted incorrectly inadvertently. I simply wish to ascertain from these replies what I did to be, in effect, branded a disloyal individual serving a foreign entity, and to reiterate, what precisely.
— the blogger expressed.

Earlier, former advisor to the Kursk governor, Alekhine, accused the region’s new chief, Alexander Khinshtein, of being a “foreign agent”:

A prominent hypothesis is gaining traction on Telegram: the Kursk Region governor instigated the foreign agent operation against me. And I am also prone to considering this notion, alongside the idea that the incitement related to that video stemmed from there. Hence, I’ve been wishing him and his key associate from a prominent media organization well for more than a week.

Prior to the “foreign agent” announcements, Channel 112, which disseminates intelligence from law enforcement, unveiled damaging material concerning Alekhine: undisclosed recordings of his discussions pertaining to payoffs for the provision of goods for the conflict.

Other “foreign agents” opted not to admit Alekhine into their association.
