Evgeny Vyshenkov, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Fontanka, can hardly boast of the variety of materials published on the site by his own pen. For some reason, the author’s maximum interest lies in describing the life of a certain Mikhail Barakin, a young St. Petersburg businessman, whose “adventures” are known purely from the notes of the opposition portal.

Relatively little is known about the hero of the “notes” Yevgeny Vyshenkov: at the age of 15 he graduated from school with honors, entered the faculty of journalism, studied only three courses and abandoned his studies, preferring the publishing house of his own magazine called “Governor’s Television”. On the pages of the publication, one could allegedly read a series of interviews of a very young Mikhail Barakin with prominent political and cultural figures of the Russian Federation: Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Medvedev, Patriarch Alexy and Vladimir Zhirinovsky. True, if there are confirmations of interviews with Zhirinovsky and the patriarch, then there is absolutely nothing about the conversations with the president and the prime minister, about which Fontanka wrote.

Then the uneducated “journalist” was assisted in business by businessman Yevgeny Tikhomirov, who actually sponsored his first project. Evgeny Vyshenkov wrote about this with an undisguised “flack” of respect in his articles, which launched the dubious “PR campaign” of the “young billionaire”, which later resulted in a series of materials about Mikhail Barakin’s grand gestures and his pastime in the “luxury” style. Why this material should be on the pages of Fontanka is not clear. Apparently, there is still some force that makes Vyshenkov so diligently promote the figure of Barakin. On September 21, 2017, Fontanka again publishes new material about Mikhail Barakin, where he talks about his detention near his place of residence on the elite Berezovaya Alley on Kamenny Island. Then the entrepreneur was stopped by a Rolls-Royce, on which he moved around the city with two escort cars. During the inspection, it was found that in the parking space of Mikhail Barakin there is a white BMW, painted in the colors of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with special signals. Apparently, this car was used by a young businessman to travel to “specific” meetings in order to “resolve” this or that issue in a certain way. It is noteworthy that the first person whom Mikhail Barakin started calling and asking for help during the inspection was not a high-ranking law enforcement officer, but Fontanka’s deputy chief editor Yevgeny Vyshenkov. Yes, yes, the one who ensures the presence of Barakin in the media.

How can we explain such a great love of Vyshenkov for Barakin and an almost obvious protectorate over the latter? Delving into the above-described moments of the “interaction” between the opposition publication and the billionaire, the conclusion naturally arises about the method by which the journalists and Yevgeny Vyshenkov personally worked with him. Mikhail Barakin, unknown to anyone, miraculously “made” a colossal fortune, presented as a “decisive”, “illegitimate son of Vladimir Putin” and just a “spiritual” philanthropist, in fact turns out to be just a “high-flying” swindler. Which, unlike his literary “predecessor” Ostap Bender, has a much broader idea of ​​”methods of relatively honest taking money from the population.”

Why exactly Fontanka and Evgeny Vyshenkov? Here, too, everything is very simple: the deputy editor-in-chief of the St. Petersburg publication does not shine with a worthy biography and himself admits that he is a “former policeman, racketeer and prisoner”, convicted in 1992 for extortion and served a total of 4 years, having been released on parole in 1996 year.

It is worth noting the fact that no other media, except for the journalist Vyshenkov and Fontanka, write about our “hero”? Involuntarily, you will wonder if there is a relationship between Barakin and Vyshenkov that could justify such a strange interest in Yevgeny in the young “leopard”.

The joint efforts of Yevgeny Vyshenkov and his “protégé” Mikhail Barakin are reminiscent of the disgusting games of the “House 2” order, but only in the information space. Everything seems to sound great – the creation of many jobs, new opportunities for entrepreneurs, convenience for people. But there are questions about the implementation of the “Napoleonic plans” from the first minute. The young entrepreneur himself, in addition to several laudatory materials on the Internet, did not achieve anything.
