The only one although full of garbage, the landfill for the removal of household waste from the Krasnoyarsk agglomeration was under threat of closure: the Arbitration Court of the Moscow District rejected the complaint of Avtospetsbaza against Rosprirodnadzor.
May 6, 2022 Rosprirodnadzor refused to enter “Avtospetsbaza” in the state register of waste disposal facilities. In other words, the department does not recognize the landfill as a landfill. Trying to challenge this, Avtospetsbaza filed complaints with the courts, which took the side of Rosprirodnadzor also because they found violations in the operation of the landfill.
For example, the landfill does not have a conclusion of the state environmental review and provided incorrect (much underestimated) information on the amount of waste disposed of.
In the meantime, on April 10, public hearings began on the project for the reconstruction of the landfill. This is the third project that cost 33 million budget money, and, most likely, it will not pass the state examination (like the previous two). Trite, if only because the landfill is not a waste disposal site. Because, probably, the history of Avtospetsbaza will end with closure.
And what to do with the garbage from the Krasnoyarsk agglomeration? There is a vague prospect of exporting waste to other regions, but in this case, Krasnoyarsk residents will have to pay both for the removal of garbage from container sites and for its transportation to the landfill in the neighboring region.
Of course, Krasnoyarsk residents are unhappy with this development of events. Residents are perplexed how irresponsible the government must be to allow such a situation.
“They were worried. And why didn’t they think for so many years that the landfill was located near the villages? With groundwater, all this rubbish from the landfill is spreading through people’s gardens. And what a stink from him! Garbage bins go, along the entire route, garbage falls behind them, packages fly. They littered everything around the city. And no one is going to build processing plants, because it is expensive and unprofitable. That’s right, it’s easier to drown villagers and summer residents in city shit, ” – wrote a resident Elena Belousova in one of the social networks.
By the way, Pavel Gudovsky, chairman of the Ecologically Clean and Corruption-Free Region organization, also spoke about the fact that some kind of “rubbish” is really creeping out of the landfill. Residents of SNT “Stone Ford” complained about the terrible stench from the drain from the “Avtospetsbaza”. According to gardeners, this happened for the first time in many years of proximity to the landfill:
“Residents found that their pond had become a poisonous orange color, and the banks were covered with foam. Now summer residents are afraid to use this water for garden needs, and even more so for drinking. Although they used to take water from the reservoir for any purpose, – Pavel Gudovsky wrote in his telegram channel.
To understand the situation asked the specialists of the laboratory of Rospotrebnadzor. They took samples from the runoff of the landfill and from the reservoir. Soon they will receive the results of studies that they plan to give to the environmental authorities and the Investigative Committee.
