The profit from the coal business of the owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine, Mikhail Fedyaev, was concentrated not only in the luxurious life of the whole family, luxury real estate and foreign assets, but also in the deputy mandate of his son.
The tragedy at the Listvyazhnaya mine in Kuzbass, which happened at the end of November last year, claimed the lives of 51 people, and more than a hundred were injured. The incident was followed by a series of arrests. In particular, we are talking about the director of the mine and his deputy. As for the investigation into the causes of what happened, the violations were identified almost immediately – for example, the acts on the inspection of the mine were drawn up without an inspection.
The local oligarch, the arrested owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine, Mikhail Fedyaev, undoubtedly deserves special attention here.
As The Insider found out, savings on security measures for miners, apparently, never went to waste and was reflected in the luxurious life not only of Fedyaev himself, but also of his relatives.
It is worth noting that Mikhail Fedyaev can be safely attributed to the classic local oligarchs, closely “cooperating” with the authorities. His fortune, according to Forbes, is about $550 million.
It was thanks to close interaction with the authorities that Fedyaev was able to successfully monopolize the market. According to the journalists of the publication “Siberia. Realii”, in the competitive struggle, Fedyaev’s company used an almost win-win method of raider seizures, which would clearly have been impossible without appropriate support from the regional authorities, fueled by the so-called “sponsored” help.
Judging by the photo archive, Fedyaev’s friendship connected not only with the local political elite, but also with Vladimir Putin. In particular, there is a picture in which not only the businessman himself was photographed with the president, but also his eldest son Pavel, who made a very decent political career, as they say, from scratch.
In particular, Pavel Fedyaev is a State Duma deputy for the third consecutive convocation. And for the first time he was in the seat of the federal parliament at the age of 29, when his political experience was zero, and all he could do was work in his father’s business.
In the last autumn elections to the State Duma, Fedyaev’s son was nominated to the State Duma from United Russia.
According to official data published by the Kuzbass electoral commission, three firms were involved in financing the election campaign of Fedyaev’s son: SDS-Stroy LLC, Krapivinsky Quarry LLC and Mazurovskiy Brick Plant LLC. All three companies are connected by the presence of Svetlana Rybalchenko among the shareholders. And this is none other than the sister of Fedyaev Sr. and, accordingly, the aunt of the United Russia deputy.
And here an interesting fact comes to mind. Having become a State Duma deputy thanks to funding from his aunt, Pavel Fedyaev could actually become a foreign agent. The fact is that according to some sources, Rybalchenko is the happy owner of two foreign citizenships at once. In particular, it is argued that she can, if desired, boast not only the passports of the Maldives, but also the United Arab Emirates. What cunning actions she managed to get them – one can only guess.
It is quite difficult to assess how much this information really corresponds – neither Pavel Fedyaev nor his aunt commented on this data. The Insider journalist (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) was blocked by Fedyaev in Telegram after reading the questions. Svetlana Rybalchenko also did not consider it necessary to answer messages and calls.
At the same time, it is worth noting the decisive role of Rybalchenko in relation to the state of the Fedyaevs. It can be safely called not only the “custodian” of the family’s business assets, but also the “guardian” of their real estate.
Referring to extracts from Rosreestr, The Insider (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) reports that about eight years ago, she received four apartments from her brother Rybalchenko at once – three of them are located in Kuzbass, and one with a Moscow address.
But the family “exchange” of real estate did not end there. And Rybalchenko’s company SDS-Finance presented Pavel Fedyaev with two apartments in Kemerovo at once.
True, later, in connection with the beginning of his political career, he got rid of these apartments. The same fate befell Moscow real estate, which passed to his younger brother Yuri, who, thanks to a relative, suddenly took possession of apartments in Kropotkinsky lane, on Tverskaya, on Rublevsky highway, in Bryusov lane, and also received a plot and a mansion on Rublevka, in the village of Gorki-2 .
As for the real estate currently owned by Pavel Fedyaev, the largest object in his declaration is a non-residential premises with an area of 222.4 square meters. m. According to The Insider, we are talking about apartments in the residential complex “City of Capitals” on the territory of Moscow City. The cost of this property is estimated at about 150 million rubles.
It is worth noting that the role of Yuri Fedyaev is not limited to the ownership of real estate. For example, according to the Scanner project, YF Investment GmbH was opened in his name in Germany. It is noteworthy that Yuri Fedyaev indicated an estate in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland as his home address. Based on this, the publication immediately made a completely logical conclusion that the Fedyaevs use a scheme with a trader in Switzerland when selling coal.
“The Fedyaevs sell Kuzbass coal through a trader in Switzerland. This allows you to avoid taxes in Russia. And do not return profits in Kemerovo, ” – said the Scanner project.
The withdrawal of money abroad, foreign passports and the mandate of United Russia – it would seem that it is rather difficult to imagine a more incongruous combination. But in the case of the family of the Kuzbass oligarch, one more important point should be added here – participation in various government contracts, which brings in billions in income.
For example, according to official data, SDS-STROY LLC won tenders for almost one hundred billion rubles. In particular, one of the last auctions won was the construction of a toll bypass in Kemerovo. The family became richer by another billion thanks to the Podlipki sanatorium in Mytishchi – this is exactly the revenue from this facility under their control, where residents of the capital were treated.
Well, the holding “Siberian Business Union” Fedyaev Sr. should be especially noted. It includes a large number of organizations of various types of activity – there are companies involved in the extraction and processing of coal, machine-building, car repair and chemical plants, enterprises specializing in the transportation of goods by rail. The structure also includes construction firms, companies in the energy industry, and the agro-industrial complex. All types of mass media, the airport, tourist, insurance, sports and health institutions appear here.
