
A member of Kamchy Asanbek's gang was apprehended in Kyrgyzstan carrying arms and unlawful materials.
An individual from the close circle of the deceased leader of the organized criminal group Kamchy Asanbek (K. Kolbaev), identified as S.D.O., previously found guilty of committing grave offenses, has been taken into custody.
According to the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, the apprehended man, based on obtained information, maintains connections with criminal networks in other nations and aspires to climb the criminal ranks to attain the status of “vor v zakone” (thief in law).

During the arrest and ensuing investigative procedures, S.D.O. was discovered to possess a handgun (1 Makarov pistol), together with 4.57 grams of a prohibited substance of plant-based origin.
Following the discovery of narcotics in his possession, a legal case was initiated under Article 283, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (unlawful creation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic compounds, and their counterparts without the purpose of distribution), and relevant assessments were mandated for the seized firearm and illicit substances.


Within a criminal case instigated regarding the matter of unlawful creation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic compounds, and their analogues without the intention to distribute and unlawful commerce of weapons and ammunition by an associate of an organized crime syndicate, K. Asanbek – S.D.O. was taken into custody and situated in the temporary holding center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At present, actions are being undertaken to ascertain the detainee’s involvement in the perpetration of other violations.
