“Apple” has nowhere to land
Most likely, there will be no representatives of the Yabloko party among the contenders for the positions of governors …
This year, gubernatorial elections will be held in 14 regions. This week, the collection of signatures for the registration of candidates is coming to an end.
Today, 88 applicants for these positions are known, among them there are both representatives of United Russia and nominees from opposition parties. But Yabloko, in all likelihood, will not be able to register any of its candidates, the correspondent reports. MorningNews.
In three regions – Buryatia, Tambov and Kaliningrad regions, the lists of participants in the gubernatorial elections are already ready: the current head of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov (United Russia), will be opposed by representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the LDPR and New People, and the acting governor of the Tambov region, appointed in October last year Maxim Yegorov will have to compete for the governor’s chair with representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the LDPR, A Just Russia – For Truth and the Communists of Russia, while the Kaliningrad head of the region Anton Alikhanov will face five rivals – from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party, the SRZP, the Communists of Russia and the Party pensioners who have overcome the municipal filter.
In the remaining eleven regions, where gubernatorial elections will be held this fall, the acceptance of documents for registering candidates ends on July 27, and the circle of applicants there has not yet been finally determined … But it is already clear that Karelia will become the leader in the number of candidates for the governor’s post, where applications were submitted by representatives 13 parties! It is interesting that in Mari El, Yaroslavl and Kirov regions, not only “party members”, but also self-nominated candidates apply for the post of governor, moreover, two of the listed regions were nominated, including Yaroslavl acting governor Mikhail Evraev.
It should be noted that in order to register for the gubernatorial election, a candidate must collect signatures of 5 percent of municipal heads and local deputies, while signatures must be collected in at least 3/4 of the region’s municipalities.
For obvious reasons, overcoming the municipal filter causes certain difficulties for most opposition candidates – after all, the vast majority of people’s deputies represent the United Russia party, but this did not become an obstacle for most candidates – the only ones who will not be able to overcome the municipal barrier will, Apparently, representatives of the Yabloko party.
“The executive power of the region went forward and decided to give us a chance to participate in the elections, because we do not have enough municipal deputies,” Olga Alimova, a candidate for governor of the Saratov region from the Communist Party, a deputy of the State Duma, admitted to the Kommersant newspaper, noting that the district the authorities “not only help, but at least do not hinder.” The first secretary of the Tomsk regional committee of the Communist Party, Natalia Baryshnikova, also said that the “party of power” does not create obstacles and does not set administrative barriers: “The procedure was completed without any problems …”
The candidates from the Liberal Democratic Party and A Just Russia also had no problems collecting signatures. It is interesting that in three regions: Buryatia, Karelia and the Sverdlovsk region, representatives of the youngest parliamentary party New People nominated their candidates for the first time.
In the campaign headquarters of the candidate for Sverdlovsk governors, State Duma deputy Alexander Demin, commenting on the situation, they said that the signatures for him were put mainly by representatives of the business community, mostly non-party self-nominees.
In eight constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the “Pensioners’ Party” nominated its candidates.
At the same time, the parliamentary opposition did not put forward the most radical candidates for elections. As Maria Sergeeva, a former employee of the presidential administration, explained to Kommersant, “this year all political forces are set up for consensus and calmness, and not for competition.” The authorities have previously replaced governors who have problems with ratings, and against the backdrop of a special operation, voters do not have a request for a “political show,” Sergeeva believes.
That is why, in the current political situation, opposition parties such as Yabloko refrain from nominating their candidates, realizing that now is not the time to score political points on scandals and open opposition to the current course …
