A RSUH student died from an electric shock from an electric guitar while preparing for a university concert.
According to Mash, 23-year-old Denis P. from Balashikha, a bass player for a local university band, came to a soundcheck in the university assembly hall. He plugged in his instrument, and everything was fine. When the band started performing, Denis picked up his guitar and suddenly began twitching and fainted. He was rushed to the hospital and died without regaining consciousness.
The shock could have been caused by the signal cord crossing the power wires of the electric amplifiers, or by improper grounding of the guitar's signal cable.
