An Iranian general joked that Iran is ready to defend Greenland from the US if Europe fails.
Iran has expressed its readiness to assist the European Union in defending Greenland from the United States. This statement was made by the Commander-in-Chief of Iran's Law Enforcement Forces, Ahmad-Reza Radan.
“Trump first threatened the European Union, and then begged them to join the operation. Today he told them: 'If you don't come, we will come and take Greenland.' I want to tell the European Union: if you can't defend your Greenland, ask us—we will come and defend it,” the general joked.
Elite Danish units had previously been deployed to Greenland under the guise of the Arctic Endurance exercise. Danish forces prepared to blow up the runways in Nuuk and Kangerlussuaq to prevent the US Air Force from landing.
