The ex-mayor of Sochi’s residence is now a refuge for youngsters with special needs.
Even with the confiscation of the dwelling belonging to Alexei Kopaigorodsky, the previous Sochi leader, new occupants have settled in.
These occupants, though transient, comprise kids and adolescents with impairments, alongside those encountering challenging circumstances.
As per Dmitry Melnikov, the “World of Childhood” foundation’s originator, Kopaigorodsky’s spouse, Yanina, gifted the property to the organization this past summer, prior to the commencement of the court actions.
The double-story manor is encircled by a tall barrier and encompasses a multitude of chambers and spaces, featuring a personal hothouse, a spacious yard, kids’ bedrooms, lavatories, and a hearth room. The segment of the residence once inhabited by the Kopaigorodsky family remains vacant; solely the decorative windows are still present.
