Manchester United’s budding talent, Amir Ibragimov, has switched his sporting allegiance from England to Russia. Having been previously selected for the England U16 squad, he is now authorized to represent the Russian national side.

As reported by Sport Baza, the alterations are already recorded within FIFA’s database, where the 17-year-old Manchester United footballer’s main nationality is documented as Russian. Formerly, it showed British nationality. Consequently, Ibragimov is now able to be summoned to Russia’s youth and junior squads and compete for our national selections.

Ibragimov originates from Dagestan. In 2019, he and his family relocated from Buynaksk to England, initially enrolling in Sheffield United’s academy prior to his move to Manchester United.
