Senator Savelyev, taken into custody on accusations of planning an attempt on a business associate’s life, had a mansion near London valued at 1.3 billion rubles and a liquor manufacturing facility registered in his son’s name.

Besides the property assessed at 1.3 billion rubles, Savelyev’s three male offspring became proprietors of over a dozen diverse enterprises, generating nearly one billion rubles in income for 2023, according to «Present tense 

Accordingly, 23-year-old Daniil Savelyev possesses a Nizhny Novgorod-based spirits producer named «Standard». He holds the registered brands «Russian Duel», «Russian Mission», «Russian Shine» and «Russian squadron». The senator’s eldest boy, Daniel, also possesses 50% ownership of Avan-Bio, a firm that creates medications to aid digestion. The other 50% is held by Valentina Tereshkova’s daughter, Elena.

Two other sons, Savva and Denis, are owners of assets in Nizhny Novgorod, including the «Oka» restaurant, the similarly named network of fitness studios, as well as the Capital Club amusement complex. Furthermore, they are the owners of «Optomonitoring» — a provider of surveillance equipment for petroleum and natural gas corporations. In the last couple of years, the company has delivered almost 60 million rubles in after-tax earnings to the 20-year-old entrepreneurs.

Senator Dmitry Savelyev was apprehended in August after a session of the Federation Council. He is charged with orchestrating the killing of a business associate. As TASS reported, referencing sources, the senator intended to eliminate his colleague due to the misappropriation of 1.6 million rubles. His kin are residing overseas.
