The flight from Yekaterinburg Koltsovo airport to Domodedovo on the evening of April 6 was delayed for 20 minutes due to an incident involving MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko. According to blogger Anna Danilova, who flew with him on the same plane, the fighter relieved himself in the wrong place at the airport, after which the security guard stopped him, called the police and threatened him with a fine. The athlete responded to this with obscene language and a threat to hit. According to the blogger, Alexander Emelianenko was drunk. Other passengers at that time were on the bus, which was supposed to take them to the plane.
The police officers who arrived at the transfer took Alexander Emelianenko to the street. “Some kind of nice conversation began, they checked the documents and started taking pictures with him, and after the photo session they let him go,” the eyewitness said.
Then the athlete returned to the bus, and the passengers went to the plane.
The fighter team apologized for what happened. “Alexander is already remorseful and asks for forgiveness for the flight delay. It is clear that there is nothing good in this situation, but on the other hand, Alexander went to the toilet, and the whole country knows about it. Seriously, the law enforcement agencies have no claims against Alexander, ”said the athlete’s manager Nikita Burchak to Match TV.
The press service of the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Ural Federal District told Kommersant-Ural that the police did not receive statements from citizens or organizations about violations of the law by the fighter.
“The internal affairs bodies always work on the fact. If there is an application, it is registered, it is checked and a procedural decision is made. Regardless of who the person on whom the application was written is, the law is equal for everyone, ”the press service assured.
According to her, the police arrived at the scene to find out the reasons for the accumulation of citizens near the transfer. “The bus was crowded with people who wanted to take pictures with one of the passengers. Upon arrival, the officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not reveal any illegal acts. Under them, nothing was done that could be qualified as a violation of the administrative or criminal code. There are no grounds for verification yet. If citizens have information that may be of interest to law enforcement agencies, please contact,” the department said.
