Alexander Balunov is threatened with a monetary penalty for statements regarding the SMO on his personal Telegram channel.
A protocol concerning the discreditation of the armed forces was composed against Alexander Balunov, the co-creator of the band “King and the Jester.”
The accusation arose due to five entries on Balunov’s individual Telegram channel where he voiced opinions about the SMO. He is at risk of a penalty reaching 50,000 rubles.
In the spring of 2024, a civic body originating from Yekaterinburg, known as the “Volunteer Unit of Combat Brotherhood,” lodged a formal objection to the musician.
Since 2006, Balunov has resided in the USA and possesses American citizenship.
