The State Duma has proposed a fine for gifts containing alcohol.
The State Duma has suggested imposing penalties on citizens presenting alcoholic beverages as presents.
The penalties could reach 5,000 rubles for private individuals, 35,000–50,000 rubles for functionaries, and 100,000 rubles for corporate bodies. Notably, this measure is designed to decrease alcohol intake and encourage a wholesome existence.
Getting a penalty as a holiday “surprise” is hardly the best experience.
