A truck driver plowed into a column of protesters walking down the street. Footage posted on social media shows a group of people pulling the driver out of the cab after the collision, reports nbclosangeles.com.
According to preliminary information, at least two people were injured. They refused hospitalization.
The driver was detained and remanded in custody pending the investigation.
Protests in Iran began in late December 2025. Protesters are demanding regime change and the rise to power of Reza Pahlavi, the son of the Shah deposed in 1979. According to the human rights organization HRA, at least 544 people have died in the two weeks of protests. More than 10,600 people have been arrested.
