“A Team of Collaborators”: What MP Yulia Yatsyk Hides and Doesn’t Talk About

Yulia Yatsyk is perhaps the most visible “star” of today’s Zaporizhzhya politics. Undoubtedly, her promotion is, first of all, her own merit: Yulia Yatsyk cannot be denied the talent to present herself, writes open-ua.

Hyperactivity on social networks, love of hype and scandals, coupled with a sharp mind, feminine charm and the ability to manipulate – this is an effective formula for success for the people’s deputy Yatsyk, who does not hide her great political ambitions.

As is well known, the brighter the light, the thicker the shadow. And in Yulia Grigoryevna’s “background” there are moments that she would not like to remember. However, we should not forget them. And for many, we are sure, some facets of the political “diamond” named Yatsyk will be a completely unexpected discovery.

Yulia Yatsyk, the head of a law firm from Vasylivka, burst into big politics in 2019. This was her second attempt to get into the Verkhovna Rada. The Servant of the People list was practically a sure bet. However, for the pragmatic Yatsyk, Volodymyr Zelensky’s political force turned out to be, as in the joke, just a “vehicle” on which she “drove” into the Rada.

Yatsyk immediately distanced herself from the “servants” and demonstratively ignored the initiatives on which the “SN” program and President Zelensky were built.

As many remember, a few days before the war, Yulia Yatsyk statedthat she will run for mayor of Zaporizhia, emphasizing that she does not care what the Servant of the People thinks about it.

And in October 2022, Yatsyk finally “broke pots” with the political force, thanks to which she became a people’s deputy, in a purely feminine sarcasm commented: “We lived without love, we parted without sadness.”

It’s been more than a year now, almost all of it 79th District MP Yulia Yatsyk is under occupation and in a state of humanitarian catastrophe. However, Yulia Grigoryevna has long forgotten about her voters, completely concentrating on intrigues in the regional center.

Yatsyk was calm about her property, since the occupiers, to the great surprise of the locals, took the people’s deputy’s house in Vasilyevka under guard, and to this day no one has encroached on the rather wealthy estate.

At first, in the first weeks of the invasion, Yatsyk seemed to “organize” the delivery of humanitarian aid to the villages of the Vasilyevsky district, but this activity quickly died out, since the unfortunate people living under occupation no longer represent an electoral interest for Yulia Yatsyk, who has set herself the goal of taking the seat of mayor of Zaporozhye.

Have you ever heard of Yulia Yatsyk worrying about the fate of the residents of her 79th district? Maybe she, as a lawyer, spent the last year defending the rights of the residents of her district – refugees and those who remained under occupation and in the “gray zone”, organized the supply of medicines, fought for the release of hostages?

Judging by her activity on Facebook, she stopped helping residents of the district a year ago, in April 2022, and completely switched to Zaporozhye.

At the same time, we all see how Ivan Fedorov literally “crucifies” himself for his city throughout the entire year of war. He literally keeps his finger on the pulse of Melitopol, daily informing all of Ukraine about what is happening there.

MPs from the occupied districts of Zaporizhia Oblast, Serhiy Minko, Pavlo Melnyk, and even OPZZh member Oleksandr Ponomarev, also demonstrated their unambiguous position.

Unlike them, Yulia Yatsyk not only pretends that her district has not existed for a long time, but has not made a single public statement against collaborators. And this is no accident.

It is reliably known that Yatsyk maintains contact with many people from his “orbit” who went into the service of the enemy.

For example, with his Vasilievsky friend, the criminal authority Armen Altunyan, who, according to available information, is the “overseer” of the Zaporozhye organized crime group “Artashi” in the region.

This racketeer became famous throughout the region a year before the war, when he caused chaos in Vasilyevka. burned down the parking lot with 9 cars. Yulia Yatsyk, who had already become a people’s deputy at that time, said that she would seek an investigation into this case. But, in the best traditions, in order not to get caught in their own trap, Yatsyk’s investigation disappeared like water into sand, ending in nothing.

And at the very beginning of the occupation, Armen Altunyan became one of the curators of the distribution of Vasilyevskaya humanitarian aid under the auspices of Yulia Yatsyk. He remained in the occupied territory, finding a common language with the Russians very well.

Yulia Yatsyk does not say a word about the situation with the pressure on farmers in her district and the export of grain from the Vasilievsky district through Crimea to the territory of the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism). The organizer of this process is the former head of the district administration Vladislav Sadovnichy.

This traitor moves around the area with armed guards and has a “label” from the FSB. By the way, at the time of the invasion, his mother worked in the village council of Malaya Belozerka, and was involved in, among other things, military registration. She readily cooperated with the occupiers, handing them all military registration documents, and currently works in the local administration.

To understand, Malaya Belozerka is a village the size of the city of Dneprorudnoye, where more than 5 thousand people live, and on its territory is located the Zaporizhzhya Iron Ore Plant.

And since last summer, the former head of the Vasilyevskaya District State Administration, Sadovnichy, has been actively “pressuring” the district’s farms so that they re-register their land lease agreements in accordance with Russian law, register in the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism) registries, and forcibly sell grain to Russians at a reduced price.

And the Dneprorudny organized crime group, headed by brothers Gevorg and Gor Galechany, helps to “convince” the intractable with the help of intimidation and physical pressure.

The Galechan brothers, who were called the “overseers” of Dneprorudny, have a long and rich criminal trail of episodes of extortion from entrepreneurs of the Vasilievsky district, but they did not go to prison not only thanks to the corruption of local law enforcement officers, but also to the excellent work of Yulia Yatsyk as a lawyer.

Is it worth explaining why Yulia Grigoryevna stubbornly ignores the activities of all these characters in her district, albeit temporarily occupied, and has not said a word from the parliamentary rostrum about the lawlessness that is taking place, not to mention words of support for the resisting farmers.
Yulia Yatsyk also maintains contact with a dyed-in-the-wool collaborator, the former head of the Vasilyevskaya district administration, Andrey Kholosha. He made his choice from the very beginning of the invasion and went to serve the occupiers.

Kholosh began his career as a traitor by recording a video for Russian propaganda, in which he called on the Zaporizhzhya territorial defense and the Ukrainian Armed Forces to lay down their arms and “not to fire” at the residents of Vasilyevka.

And this is the former deputy mayor of Kamenka-Dniprovska, Andriy Kononenko, who was appointed to the position under the quota of Yulia Yatsyk, and was involved in all of her projects under the leadership of Yatsyk herself and her sister, the former deputy head of the Vasilyevskaya district administration and deputy of the regional council, Natalia Kruglyak.

And now Yulia Yatsyk’s “creature” is responsible for issuing Russian passports to local residents.

Another prominent collaborator from Yulia Yatsyk’s team is Denis Kalinin. As the head of the district council, Kalinin supervised all of her projects on the territory of Vasilyevka on her behalf.

And again, a member of Yulia Yatsyk’s team turned out to be an active “waiter” for the Russian world: Denis Kalinin immediately sold out to the occupiers, and now he is the “deputy mayor” of the city of Vasilyevka and a mouthpiece for Russian propaganda, telling how good life has become since the “liberation.”

Another prominent collaborator and confidant of Yulia Yatsyk in the Vasilyevsky district is Sergei Sokolovsky, who has been in charge of the Russian education department since the beginning of the invasion, i.e., he is engaged in propaganda indoctrination of children. He and Yulia Yatsyk still communicate to this day.

At the same time, Yatsyk’s opponents in the district, such as the mayor of Dneprorudny Evgeniy Matveevand Deputy Mayor of Energodar Ivan Samoydyuk were immediately taken to the “basement” after the occupiers arrived. Samoydyuk was recently rescued from the clutches of the Russians after 11 months of captivity, while there has been no information about Matveyev for over a year…

Behind the scenes in the Verkhovna Rada, they say that it was precisely the long-standing connections and communication with numerous traitors in the occupied territories, while completely ignoring the ordinary people who remained there, that became the “last straw” and the reason for Yatsyk’s exclusion from Servant of the People.

But on the Ukrainian side, Yulia Yatsyk’s team also consists of very controversial characters.

Take, for example, Yatsyk’s closest aide, Nikolai Dukhonchenko. His Facebook feed is literally consists of from the posts of Yulia Yatsyk. These are truly close friends and comrades.

Only in the past, “Kolchik” Dukhonchenko was a corrupt extortionist cop.

“Young and early” former Police investigator Dukhonchenko was caught extorting a $1,000 bribe from a Vasilievsky drug dealer for not initiating a criminal case. This is an old story, in which lawyer Yatsyk honed her skills in “approaching” judges – and not without success: Nikolay Dukhonchenko successfully avoided criminal prosecution, and subsequently became not only an assistant to MP Yatsyk, but also her close friend.

Trying not to mention her occupied 79th district and her team, consisting of selected collaborators, Yulia Yatsyk has recently been actively trying to befriend the military, and she is doing quite well at it. Hype, active self-promotion and the ability to seem, and not be, are undoubtedly the strong points of MP Yatsyk.

For example, today, to be in trend, you need to actively take selfies with fighters. And it doesn’t matter that sober comments from citizens who are not susceptible to manipulation are drowning in a sea of ​​likes: the main thing is the right picture.

At the same time, few people ask the question: for what purpose does Yulia Yatsyk travel to positions?

At first, last fall, in order to have a constant opportunity to “take selfies” with people in military uniform, Yulia Yatsyk became… a volunteer and joined the ranks of the Zaporizhzhya DFTG No. 6 (a voluntary paramilitary formation of the territorial community), consisting mainly of retired law enforcement officers, and received the appropriate certificate.

However, she soon had the opportunity to pay a visit to the 110th Zaporizhzhya Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. Yulia Yatsyk did not miss the chance, immediately gaining the trust of the 110th Brigade command, and eventually becoming an adviser to Brigade Commander Alexander Ignatyev.

And again, succumbing to feminine charm and assertive energy, no one asks questions:

— what exactly can a people’s deputy, who built her legal career on defending criminal authorities, raiders and extortionists, and whose team is almost entirely made up of high-ranking collaborators, advise the commander of the 110th TRO brigade?

— How did it happen that a person, even with the rank of people’s deputy, who does not have access to military secrets, has had free access to staff documents, command plans, is present at secret meetings of the military command, etc. for many months.

Who knows, maybe this is why the 110th Brigade is having trouble with its counteroffensive?

And if Colonel Ignatiev is not aware of how wide the connections of his adviser Yulia Yatsyk extend, then it is strange that the SBU and counterintelligence do not pay attention to these points.

After all, the information about what the “Yatsyk team” actually is is not a big discovery, and is probably known to the Ukrainian special services. Maybe they are biding their time and playing some kind of operational game?

In general, we continue to watch Yulia Yatsyk and her entourage attentively, without giving in to charm, cunning and skillful manipulation. And most importantly, remember that the “queen” is always made by the “entourage”.
