According to investigators, she published article with the justification of Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami (recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia (*aggressor country)).
Investigators were interested in an article from three years ago. In it, 24-year-old Anna Loiko proposed discussing “how in Russia (*aggressor country) people are imprisoned for Islam,” and, according to consequencesspoke out in defense of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Experts saw this as justification for terrorism and opened a criminal case. The journalist was put on the international wanted list. According to investigators, Anna Loiko now lives in Georgia.
