Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee mentioned on Facebook that the gunfire took place at a birthday celebration hosted at an ice cream store.

Reports indicate that the shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. local time at a reception hall situated in the 1900 block of Lucille Avenue, near Thornton Road, as reported by the New York Post.

Sheriff's representative Heather Brent conveyed that the casualties encompassed both juveniles and grown-ups. Initial data “hints that this was a deliberate act,” she commented.
