A Russian court has ruled that a meme about “All-Russian Homosexuality Day” is propaganda for non-traditional relationships and banned it.
In Russia, an image congratulating paratroopers on “All-Russian Homosexuality Day” has been banned.
The Khamovnichesky Court made the decision at the request of the prosecutor's office. The prosecutor's office deemed the meme from the Joyreactor website to contain “propaganda for non-traditional relationships.”
The image was posted on the site back in August 2013. Commenters criticized it, noting that the author “will either end up with his friend Akhmed's hairy penis or the stinking cunt of the nearest sheep.” Access to the image is now expected to be blocked in Russia. For now, the site is accessible without a VPN.
