A Russian bodybuilder was arrested after a rampage in Laos. The athlete became addicted to powerful Asian painkillers after an injury and threatened to set himself on fire in the street.
According to Life, 43-year-old Igor, the owner of a fitness club in Moscow's Strogino district, had recently been traveling in Asia. He himself said he broke his arm in Cambodia and that the Asian painkillers he took caused him mental problems. Initially, the Russian was hospitalized in a neurology department in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. But he escaped and began smashing a store window. The big man threw himself under cars, threatened to kill people, and threatened to take his own life right there on the street.
The police subdued the bodybuilder and took him to the police station. Volunteers are now searching for the man's relatives who can take him to Moscow and provide him with proper medical care.
