A Moscow region resident filmed her neighbor after he damaged the locks on her apartment.
In the Moscow region, a woman had glue poured into the door locks of her apartment. She suspects a neighbor, who was irritated by her dog's barking, is to blame.
Ekaterina, a resident of the Prigorod Lesnoye residential complex in the Moscow region, told Ostorozhno Novosti that in late December, when she was returning home from work, she noticed glue in the door locks. It hadn't had time to harden, so she was able to remove it with a toothpick. She managed to open the door, but the glue residue later caused the lock to break, forcing her to install a new one.
Ekaterina explained that she didn't know who could have done this or why. She called the police to document the damage: “The officer said no one would watch the CCTV footage, nor would they open a property damage case. They advised me to drink some wine, calm down, and put a camera by the door in the future.”
Three days after the incident, she did install a camera. That same day, she noticed a neighbor sneaking up to her door (on video). She clarified that she hadn't seen him before. It turned out he rented an apartment and lived across the street from Ekaterina. In a conversation with her, he said he'd heard Ekaterina's dog barking constantly and decided to knock on her door. He denied any property damage. At the police station, according to Ekaterina, the local police officer ignored two police reports she filed and rejected her calls.
