The FBI has arrested a former US Special Operations Command employee on suspicion of leaking classified information to the media.
Agency Director Kash Patel stated: “Let this serve as a warning to all potential whistleblowers: We do pursue these cases and make arrests. The FBI will not tolerate those who attempt to betray our country and put Americans in danger.”
Trump previously criticized an unnamed media outlet and its source for reporting the rescue of one of the pilots of the F-15 fighter jet shot down in Iran (https://t.me/ostorozhno_novosti/48104). According to the BBC, the US president believed the leaked data hampered the search for the second crew member.
“We have to find this whistleblower because he's a sick person; he probably didn't realize how bad it was… They put this mission at great risk,” Trump said.
