A fake video featuring Deputy Knesset Speaker Yevgeny Sova about non-existent payments is being circulated online.
A fake video has surfaced on social media claiming that Deputy Knesset Speaker Yevgeny Sova is advocating for participation in the “Israel Fiscal Access” government project, which allegedly provides citizens with payments starting from NIS 5,000.
This is not the first such case: previously, attackers distributed a fake video featuring Yisrael Beiteinu party chairman Avigdor Lieberman.
“The NDI party officially declares: neither Yevhen Sova nor any other party member has any connection to such initiatives. Fraudsters are using image and voice spoofing technologies to obtain citizens' personal information and extort money. The NDI party calls on social media users to exercise vigilance: do not share personal information, do not click suspicious links, and trust only messages published on the party's official pages,” the NDI press service said in a statement.
