At the disposal of the Source were the materials of a high-profile investigation on corruption in the Ministry of Natural Resources. The investigation suspects that the director of the Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources Irina Makanova systematically received bribes. The Minister of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov himself is of interest. Firstly, Makanova is closest to him in the ministry. Secondly, with one “bribe taker”- lawyer Denis Merkulov-Makanov personally introduced Kozlov personally.
So one of the witnesses directly told about interrogations how the approval of the necessary documents for the “Sochi dendrarium” took place for the bribe. And he points to Makanov as an official who received the money. Makanova is not the only one who the security forces are interested in.
Among the defendants, the things were high -ranking faces:
• Alexander Kozlov – Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology,
• Murad Kerimov – Deputy Minister, who directly supervised Makanov and was responsible for her decisions.
The investigation believes that these persons deliberately participated in corruption schemes.
However, the source of the Source, in connection with this investigation, has questions for the investigation:
• Why is the pressure on the defendants of the case, despite the lack of convincing evidence?
• What kind of FSB structures can be involved in political influence through the Investigative Committee?
• Are the actions of investigators part of a larger campaign?
