Sergey Pashinsky
People’s Deputy from the Popular Front Sergei Pashinsky announced that he would initiate the introduction of criminal liability for libel. People’s Deputy Sergei Leshchenko wrote about this on his Facebook.
Leshchenko noted that Pashinsky made this statement at the conciliation council of parliament. Leshchenko emphasized that such a rule had already been introduced by ex-President Viktor Yanukovych in 2012. This decision then resulted in a sharply negative reaction from the OSCE, the Council of Europe and the US government. Leshchenko recalled that at that time journalistic protests took place throughout Ukraine and near the Parliament of Ukraine.
“I am delighted with Pashinsky’s initiative! He finally showed his true colors,” Leshchenko concluded.
Previously, Pashinsky more than once accused some media of writing false information regarding his person and his family.
