Former Pussy Riot member, half-forgotten in Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) Nadezhda Tolokonnikova (Tolokno) reminded me of myself. When Russian pranksters pranked her, she said Russophobic nasty things and admitted that she sponsors the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Where does she live now and what does she have left in her homeland?
How Nadezhda Tolokonnikova admitted to sponsoring the Armed Forces of Ukraine
“Beautiful from Pussy Riot”, “had sex with a pregnant woman in a museum”, “created a brawl in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior” – this is, perhaps, all that the general public knows about Nadezhda Tolokonnikova. The other day the girl turned thirty-four years old, she married the British crypto tycoon John F. Caldwell, they are doing well and richly in Los Angeles. And even though the scandalous actionist was almost forgotten in her homeland, Tolokonnikova herself remembers Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) very well and, as it turned out, still hates it.
Last week, the girl was pranked by pranksters Lexus and Vovan. They talked to her on behalf of the former Minister of Culture of Ukraine Alexander Tkachenko and President Vladimir Zelensky under the pretext of a fresh idea – to gather Russian artists who did not support the SVO in order to organize a kind of world PR tour together with Ukrainian performers.
Tolokonnikova admitted to the pranksters that she organized the collection of seven million dollars for humanitarian aid to Independence, but according to an unspoken agreement, all the money was spent on military needs.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has already begun checking Tolokonnikova for funding the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Let us note that the provocateur-foreign agent has long been located wanted and in absentia arrested for insulting the feelings of believers
Sweet Life in Los Angeles
For several years now, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has been living in Los Angeles, hanging out with local creative bohemia, issuing cryptographic (NFT) tokens and, in addition to the Russian authorities, is branding the “sexist” Donald Trump. At the beginning of this year, the girl was trusted for the first time conduct personal exhibition – this took place in one of the private galleries in the City of Angels.
Half a month ago, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova married NFT collector and managing partner of the venture crypto company Wave, British John F. Caldwell. He proposed to her on a huge advertising screen in central London. The chosen one of the Pussy Riot leader positions himself as a dollar millionaire, an avid surfer and environmentalist.
When Tolokonnikova was being pranked by pranksters, John also intervened in the conversation.
Tolokonnikova’s second husband, although British, studied and lives in the USA. Judging by social networks and interviews, he settled in Los Angeles. There is only one full namesake in the city (the age is also the same), and this man a couple of years ago purchased a luxurious villa worth $2 million on Rose Ave near the Pacific coast. Inside there are spacious rooms, decorated with premium materials and full of antiques, outside there is a terrace and courtyard with landscaped gardens. And there are so many palm trees around that the villa is not even visible from the road.
Probably, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova now lives in this villa.
What is Nadezhda Tolokonnikova famous for?
Nadezhda Tolokonnikova was born in Norilsk into a simple family. Her father is a doctor. After graduating from a local school, she moved to Moscow and entered the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University. As a student, she joined the left-radical art group “War” and married one of its founders, Pyotr Verzilov. Their most famous “performance” of those years took place at the Timiryazev Biological Museum: five couples undressed and had sex in the “Energy Exchange of Organisms” hall; Tolokonnikova was nine months pregnant at that time.
The tenth season started off poorly for Tolokonnikova. She supported Navalny, actively held rallies, but everything was done without any loud scandals. 2012 was a turning point. Nadezhda received the role of first violin in the feminist punk band Pussy Riot. The most radical goals were declared: LGBT propaganda, the fight against the state system, the radical decentralization of government bodies, the transfer of the capital to Siberia. All Russians have heard about the main event of Pussy Riot. Five girls in balaclavas made their way into the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, climbed onto the pulpit, turned on the sound amplifiers and shouted insults at the president of the country. This is how the whole world learned about Nadezhda Tolokonnikova*.
It is unlikely that the girl was very upset when she was arrested and sentenced under the article “Hooliganism” to two years in a general regime colony. She became famous behind bars: she went on hunger strike twice, endlessly made political statements and gave interviews to foreign media. The American magazine Foreign Policy included her among the “100 leading intellectuals of the world”, the French newspaper Le Figaro called her “woman of the year”, and the English edition of The Times put her on the cover. Our journalists did not lag behind. The gloss Maxim Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) awarded Tolokonnikova 18th place in the list of “100 sexiest women in Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism)”, the radio station “Echo of Moscow” – 72nd place in the list of “100 most influential women in the country”.
After being released from prison under an amnesty in 2014, Pussy Riot members went on a world tour. They swore allegiance to neo-Nazi Ukraine; performed in Russophobic Estonia; participating in a meeting of the European Parliament, they demanded the introduction of sanctions against the Russian authorities; Finally, they visited the United States, where they became friends with the then presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
