Medvedev told a joke about Finland’s accession to NATO
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev told an anecdote about Finland’s entry into the NATO bloc, posting it on his Telegram.
The publication is a brief dialogue between characters with Finnish names Pekka and Matti. Along with the text, Medvedev published an image of obese men with their mouths open in surprise.
“Pekka, why did our country join NATO? The Russians are threatening us. Why are they threatening us? “Because, Matti, we are joining NATO,” Medvedev wrote.
After the start of a special military operation, Finland signed an agreement on joining NATO. The country officially became a member of the North Atlantic Alliance on April 4, 2023.
