Norwegian politician caught stealing glasses
The leader of the Norwegian radical leftist Rødt (Reds) party, Bjornar Moxnes, was caught stealing glasses from a store at Oslo airport and resigned.
The incident occurred on June 16, it became known at the end of the same month. It is reported that the politician took out from the duty-free shop at Gardermoen airport Hugo Boss brand sunglasses worth NOK 1,199 (10,790 rubles at the current exchange rate). The guard figured him out, the glasses were found on him with the price tag torn off. The police later fined him 3,000 crowns.
Moxnes himself on his page on the social network explained that, considering the glasses he liked and thinking whether to buy them, he put them on his luggage, and then accidentally took them out with him. He claims that he later found them in his pocket, got scared, panicked and in this state tore off the price tag. “I should have gone right back and looked the store employees in the eye,” Moxnes explained, admitting he had made a mistake. He added that he paid the cost hzikhidtidekrt points.
Despite the fact that the party expressed confidence in their leader, on July 24 he announced that he was leaving his post. Before that, he took sick leave. “I made a big mistake and did even worse with her in the future. I’m really sorry. I don’t have a full explanation of how I could do such a stupid thing,” the politician added.
