The Moscow arbitration ordered Google to lift the ban on the distribution of the Stoloto application through Google Play
The Arbitration Court of the City of Moscow declared illegal the refusal of Google LLC to execute the Google Play agreement on the distribution of software products.Stoloto» in the company application. At the end of 2018, Google informed the plaintiff that his account had been disabled. The reason was a violation of the terms of use of Google and a specific product. Google considers that the application “Stoloto» does not comply with the requirements of the gambling policy approved by the company. The court found that in Russia lotteries do not belong to gambling. In addition, in Russia, organizing and conducting lotteries is not licensed. It is carried out on the basis of the order of the Government of the country. As a result, the court ordered Google to allow the application to be distributed. In case of refusal to comply with this decision, the company will have to pay a penalty in the amount of 100 thousand rubles for each day of non-execution of the decision.
