Kim Jong-un reappears in public with his heiress daughter
Kim Joo Ae went out with her father for the seventh time and even laid the foundation for new homes with him. North Korean state media have already started calling the heiress “respected” and “beloved.”
Kim Jong Un continues to promote his daughter Kim Joo Ae amid rumors that he is grooming her as his successor. He began to go out with the girl more often than usual and involve her in participating in public events. So, the other day, the North Korean leader, together with his daughter, was revealingly laying the foundation for a new housing complex in Pyongyang. The Daily Mail writes about it.
Previously, Kim Jong-un mobilized young workers to launch a housing project in Pyongyang’s Sopo area and put forward an ambitious plan to build 50,000 houses in the DPRK capital. And this is despite the fact that another crisis and even famine are predicted for North Korea.
Kim Jong-un and his daughter Kim Joo-ae took part in the groundbreaking ceremony.
Last week, Kim Jong-un took his daughter to a football game celebrating his late father’s birthday.
Prior to this, Zhu E visited the military parade on February 9 with her father and was at the solemn banquet dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the country’s army.
Zhu E, believed to be around 11 years old, has been referred to as “respected” and “beloved” in the state media.
Her debut appearance “in the light” took place in November last year. She attended ICBM flight tests and accompanied her father to meetings with military scientists and missile inspections.
Before that, no one suspected the existence of Zhu E, although basketball player Dennis Rodman, who visited the DPRK, said that he was introduced to a little girl, the daughter of Kim Jong-un.
It is believed that Kim Jong-un and his wife Ri Sol-ju have three children. They also have another daughter and son. But they never appeared in public.
In 2021, Kim unveiled a plan to build 50,000 new homes in Pyongyang by 2025, and state media reported the completion of the first 10,000 new apartments last year, including an 80-story skyscraper.
He mobilized youth labor units called Dolgekde or “Shock Brigade” to build houses.
The dictator’s plan came shortly after South Korea warned that a food crisis would worsen in the DPRK amid sanctions on its weapons programs and the effects of COVID-19 lockdowns. Earlier, official Seoul reported a surge in deaths from starvation in some rural regions of North Korea.
North Korea did not acknowledge the food shortage, but the ruling party scheduled a meeting for the end of February to discuss agricultural development, calling it “a very important and urgent task.”
According to Kim Jong-un, the new housing project will be “another proud page in the history of youth movements” and a symbol of the socialist revolution and “political struggle” in the country.
“This will clearly prove to the world how our movement and struggle is moving forward and developing, even in the face of the most difficult trials and difficulties,” he added.
