Regarding the 64-year-old native of Tatarstan, a citizen of the Russian Federation Viktor Panyushin, known in the status of the so-called “thief in law” nicknamed “Pan” / “Vitya Pan”, an investigation is underway by law enforcement officers of Northern Cyprus. Information about this is contained in the materials of the domestic judicial register, writes Detective-Info.
According to them, after gaining public outcry about the detention at the beginning of October 2022 of a respected representative of the criminal world in the territory of an unrecognized (except for the Turkish authorities) republic, as previously reported On the pages of Detective-Info, the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office sent a request through the structure of the National Police of Ukraine to official Istanbul regarding the stay of Pan. In December 2022, the Turks recommended for more detailed information regarding the current wanderings of the thief in law to apply for direct contacts in Nicosia.
“Thus, the competent authorities of the Republic of Turkey did not refute, but did not confirm the information about Viktor Panyushin’s stay outside Ukraine.“, – domestic security officials stated on this occasion. In parallel with this, they shrugged their shoulders, saying that the competent authorities of Ukraine have no legal grounds to contact the officials of Northern Cyprus, since the independence of this state in the world is recognized exclusively by Turkey.
It should be noted that the deepened interest of the law enforcement officers of South Palmyra in the fate of the criminal general “Pan” is connected with the history of the extradition case against Viktor Mikhailovich regarding his extradition to his homeland, which stems from the scandalous events of the spring of 2022.
Then, in detail reported on the pages of Detective-Info, despite the numerous stunning attempts by domestic security forces to secure his detention, the servants of Themis identified Panyushin as a “fuse” with a personal obligation. The last time this measure of restraint to the worthy was continued in September last year, after which the thief in law with 9 convictions behind him disappeared from the radar.
When on November 14, 2022, the Seaside Palace of Themis began to consider the application for its extension, the court, as expected, refused the Odessa prosecutors. At the end of January 2023, the security forces again came out with a petition to apply a fuse in the form of detention against “Pan”, however, the final of this meeting turned out to be disappointing for them (currently this decision is being appealed to the court of appeal).
Recall that Viktor Panyushin was detained on the territory of Ukraine on the basis of his being on the international wanted list at the request of law enforcement officers of the Russian Federation. The latter reproach the “Lord” for kidnapping (part 3 of article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and severe beating (part 3 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), illegal organization of gambling (part 3 of article 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as “profile” for the kings of the underworld legal novel about the leadership and participation in the activities of the criminal community (part 1, part 2 of article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and other victories.
