President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced measures in relation to persons who were found to have Russian citizenship. In his traditional evening address at the end of the 346th day of the war, he informedthat signed the relevant documents.
“Today I signed the relevant documents to take another step to protect and cleanse our state from those who are on the side of the aggressor. There is a submission from the Security Service regarding persons who have Russian citizenship,” the president said.
According to sources, we are talking about a number of top officials from the Yanukovych era: Dmitry Tabachnik, Minister of Education and Science; Vitaly Zakharchenko – former Minister of Internal Affairs; Andrei Klyuev, ex-head of the presidential administration; Oleksandr Yakimenko, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine; Alexandra Klymenko – ex-minister of income and fees and others.
He added that another legal step will be taken on Sunday to implement the sanctions decisions of the National Security and Defense Council.
Zelensky also said that he is working to synchronize Ukraine’s sanctions decisions with partner jurisdictions.
“Enemies of the free world have no right to use the free world for their own interests“, he stressed.
Recall that on January 7, Zelensky deprived Ukrainian citizenship 13 representatives of the UOC-MP.
And on January 10, Ukrainian citizenship was deprived of people’s deputies from the banned “Opposition Platform For Life” Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Andriy Derkach and Renat Kuzmin.
