“This week, the dismissal of the head of the Accounts Chamber, Valery Patskan, will be voted on.
Verily with a high degree of probability, Gennady Plis, who from April 2020 to November of this year headed the State Audit Service, and before this year was the Deputy Ministry of Finance, will be appointed instead of him to the post of head of the Accounts,” Zheleznyak noted.

On November 4, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Gennady Plis from the post of chairman of the State Audit Service of Ukraine. Alla Basalayeva was appointed the new head of the service.
In April 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers reappointed the head of the State Audit Service Plis for a new 5-year term.
The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on April 29, 2020 appointed the former Deputy Minister of Finance of the government of Honcharuk Gennady Plis as head of the State Audit Service.
Plis worked as Deputy Minister of Finance in the government of Oleksiy Goncharuk.
In 2005-2006 Plis was the Deputy Head of the Financial and Economic Department of the Ministry of Coal Industry.
From 2006 to 2012, he was the Head of the Main Department of Internal Financial Control and Audit of the KSCA.
In 2012-2013, Plis was the head of the Supervisory Board of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, and in 2013-2014 – director of the Department of Internal Audit and Risk Analysis of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine.
From August 2014, Plis worked as an adviser to the head of the Kyiv City State Administration, from August 2014 – director of the internal financial control department KSCA.
