Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow recognized the former vice-mayor of Sochi Anatoly Rykov guilty of three episodes of receiving bribes from developers for a total of 120 million rubles (part 6, article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported to RBC Krasnodar by a representative of the defense.
He was sentenced to 15 years in prison in a strict regime colony, a fine of 120 million rubles, and a 10-year ban on holding office. A similar punishment was imposed on the former vice-mayor of Sochi, Sergei Yurin.
Another person involved in the case, Andrei Leventyuk, was sentenced to 12 years in prison and a fine of 80 million rubles, Nikolai Grebenyuk – to 8 years in prison and a fine of 40 million rubles. They will also serve their sentences in a strict regime colony.
Earlier it became known that in the event of a guilty verdict, Anatoly Rykov would challenge it.
As RBC Krasnodar reported, Anatoly Rykov was charged with three episodes of taking bribes in the total amount of 120 million rubles (40 million rubles each). He was detained on October 17, 2018. Shortly before that, in August 2018, he left the post of First Vice Mayor of Sochi, which he had held since 2009, and moved to ANO Rosgonki. On the day of the arrest, searches were carried out in the mayor’s office of the resort.
According to investigators, the former vice-mayor of Sochi, Rykov, received bribes for issuing building permits and for concluding contracts with the mayor’s office for the lease of land through court decisions. The case includes three episodes of illegal remuneration – the issuance of a permit for the construction of the Marina Park residential complex, the Svetlana Park apartment complex and the conclusion of a ten-year lease agreement for a land plot in Sochi.
The defense, in turn, argued that the Sochi administration objected to the issuance of permits for the construction of facilities.
“I understand that the money that opens doors is on the side of unauthorized developers. I know this because the pressure put on me in 2018 was unprecedented. And it continues to this day. But I am aware and understand that the accusation of “planning and obtaining” judicial acts and receiving money for this by employees of the Sochi administration is so absurd and illegal that it allows one to hope for justice, ”commented Anatoly Rykov.
In addition to Anatoly Rykov, the former vice-mayor of Sochi Sergey Yurin, lawyer Andrey Leventyuk, who were charged with three episodes of bribes (under part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and Nikolai Grebenyuk (one episode under part 6. article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
