The investigator brought a new charge to the former head of the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region Alexandru SobolenkoHe is charged with illegal possession of weapons. It is reported by “Kommersant”.
According to the publication, new defendants also appeared in the case, whom the investigation considers accomplices of the ex-official: the former chairman of the board of the Osinka gardening partnership, Alexei Ferenc, and the deputy general director of the Yurenergoservis law firm, Alexander Smirnov, who lives there. All of them are charged with the illegal alienation of 20 hectares of municipal land in the amount of 121.4 million rubles. Ferenc and Smirnov were placed under house arrest by the court.

Then, on the basis of appeals from the chairman of the board of SNT “Osinka” Alexei Ferenets, the district authorities transferred a plot of 19.9 hectares to the garden partnership. The land, as follows from the case file, was transferred to SNT free of charge, and after the head of the district signed the relevant resolutions, it was put on the cadastral register by the new owner. At the same time, a lease agreement was concluded between the district administration and SNT, according to which part of the plots was to go to privileged categories of citizens, including large families. However, Mr. Sobolenko, according to the investigation, soon issued a decision to terminate this agreement, and the land was sold at market prices. According to the calculations of the investigation, the damage from the actions of the defendants in the case amounted to 121.4 million rubles. (at the time of the crime – more than $ 4 million). He qualified the actions of the ex-head of the TFR district as embezzlement on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Sobolenko is being held in a pre-trial detention center. FSB officers detained him on December 6, 2021 in St. Petersburg and took him to Moscow, where the Basmanny Court arrested him in a criminal case, the investigation of which oversees personally the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin.
Sobolenko headed the Vsevolozhsky district from 2007 to 2013, then was fired for a fight with local residents who came to see him, after which he was sentenced to three years probation. Later, he was detained on suspicion of organizing an attack on his driver.
