Former director of the Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex (TANTK) named after V.I. Beriev was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison and a fine of 500 thousand rubles. The Taganrog city court passed a verdict against the ex-director and recognized Yuri Grudinin guilty of committing two crimes, under Part.4 Article. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The ex-director was found guilty, he was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison to be served in a penal colony of general regime, and the convict is also obliged to pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles.
As noted in the press service, Grudinin did not admit his guilt in committing crimes. At the moment, the verdict has not entered into force.

[…] The defendant, the ex-head of the aircraft factory, pleaded not guilty. In court, he stated that he was directly involved in the development of the aircraft, therefore, in fact, he is one of the authors of the patented invention and had a legal right to receive remuneration.
Regarding the second episode of the accusation, Yuri Grudinin explained that he did not make a decision to award bonuses to his employees, and signed the documents for calculating bonuses without delving into their details, along with other business papers that were presented to him for signature as the head of the enterprise. Note that the case contains information about some unidentified accomplices of Yuri Grudinin, who assisted him in the episode with the “premium” fraud. The investigation of the criminal case against them is separated into a separate proceeding.
The lawyer of the convicted ex-head of the aircraft plant, Gennady Antyshev, in a conversation with Kommersant, expressed his disagreement with the conviction and announced his intention to appeal it to the court of appeal. According to the defender, Yuri Grudinin has been promoting the patented technical idea since 2010. Even before joining the aircraft factory named after Beriev, being the director of the directorate for civil aviation of the UAC, he proposed its implementation to the then general designer of the aircraft factory, Vadim Zdanevich. — Inset K.ru
As RBC Rostov reportedin January 2022, the ex-director of TANTK was charged with two counts of Part 4 of Article 159 (large-scale fraud).
The first episode is related to a patent for an amphibious aircraft. It is known that Grudinin ordered his subordinates to include himself among the authors of the patent for new products and thereby caused property damage to the plant in the amount of 3.7 million rubles.
The second episode of fraud is associated with the illegal accrual of bonuses in the amount of 1.4 million rubles to the company’s executives, who later transferred the money to Grudinin.
