Klishas has been representing the region in the upper house of parliament since 2012. The personality is active, multifaceted, indefatigable. In the Federation Council, he heads the committee on constitutional legislation and state building.

No kidding: Andrey Alexandrovich wrote more than 100 scientific papers on the problems of the theory of state and law, constitutional and international law. He has a doctorate in law.

This is the law on the sovereign Internet, which has tightened state control over the Russian segments of the Internet under the auspices of national security and autonomous operation of the Runet. This is a law on media-foreign agents, which in the human rights community is considered a violation of human rights. In general, Andrey Klishas had a hand in a lot of things. The senator is also active in the media field, regularly participates in political talk shows on federal channels, maintains his own Telegram channel (just over 6 thousand subscribers), speaks, among other things, on the topic of geopolitics. Thus, earlier in April, the senator threatened the West with confiscation of property in Russia in response to the confiscation of property of Russian individuals and legal entities. And the senator also predicted the blocking of YouTube in Russia after the video hosting blocked the official channel of the State Duma “Duma TV”.
An important part of the biography of Andrey Klishas is his service at Norilsk Nickel and Interros even before joining the big politics. From 2001 to 2008, he served as chairman of the board of directors in the company Vladimir Potanin. In 2010, he was appointed president of the Norilsk Nickel company, but left the position in 2011 to pursue a political path.
