White House rules out Biden pardoning Hunter’s own son
The White House has ruled out the possibility that US President Joe Biden will have to pardon his son Hunter.
This was stated by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at a briefing.
“No, I just said:” No. “I just answered. Continue,” Jean-Pierre answered the question of a journalist whether there is a possibility of such a scenario.
Recall that Hunter Biden is involved in the case of the Ukrainian company Burisma. The Republicans published data from an FBI source who claimed that the head of the company, Nikolai Zlochevsky, offered the Bidens a 10 million bribe so that the president’s son Hunter would enter the board of directors and protect the business “from all sorts of problems.”
Today, the son of US President Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to tax evasion, he also denied the charge of illegal possession of weapons. At the same time, the press wrote the day before that Biden Jr. agreed to plead guilty, after which the prosecution and defense agreed to revise the pre-trial agreement.
A court in the US state of Delaware postponed the verdict against the son of the current US president, and also gave the defense and prosecution parties 30 days to provide additional information to clarify the details of the plea deal. Thus, the court postponed the decision on the deal with the investigation, which Biden Jr. had previously made.
