Associated with Gazprom, Elektrogaz received a bankruptcy lawsuit from oil partners. Vostokneftezavodmontazh demanded to recognize the company, represented, in particular, in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and YNAO, as financially insolvent. It is noteworthy that the claims coincided with the publication of a report about the negative value of the net assets of the Gazstroyprom structure, as well as statements that questioned the ability of Elektrogaz to “continue as a going concern”. Previously, analysts have already paid attention to the criticality of certain indicators of the company serving the interests of Gazprom’s structures, “without expecting positive scenarios.” In connection with this situation, market participants paid special attention to the figure of the head of the company, Alexander Karabanov. The fact is that the manager, who is considered a partner of the ex-head of Gazprom Tsentrremont, and at the moment the general director of the VIS Group, Dmitry Doev, has already been noted in the scandalous bankruptcy of the structure of Gazprom – Energogaz. As part of it, not only dubious schemes with real estate and supplies surfaced, but also a criminal case initiated against Karabanov. Now they are trying to force the manager to answer for debts, and observers note his next contract and attempts to cover up a scandalous trail.
The Moscow Arbitration Court accepted for proceedings the application of PJSC Joint Stock Company Vostokneftezavodmontazh (AK VNZM) to declare JSC Elektrogaz bankrupt. According to preliminary data, we can talk about claims in the amount of about 14.5 million rubles.
To clarify, Elektrogaz is a manufacturer of electrical equipment, a specialized organization for overhaul, maintenance, installation, commissioning and other special works related to power equipment and anti-corrosion protection equipment for PJSC Gazprom enterprises, as well as a developer of design, engineering and regulatory and technical documentation. At the end of last year, the organization had 13 branches, including in KhMAO and YNAO. According to the Center for Disclosure of Corporate Information, since last month, 74.99% of Elektrogaz has been owned by LLC GSP Remont, a structure of Gazstroyprom.
Gazstroyprom, in turn, is the general contractor for the construction of Gazprom’s facilities. The company was created with the participation of organizations associated with the gas monopoly, while the federal media directly called it an asset of the state company. Now the data on the owners of Gazstroyprom has not been disclosed, meanwhile, the management of the organization, together with representatives of other subsidiaries of Gazprom, previously participated in a conference call, which was held by the chairman of the board of Gazprom, Alexei Miller.
The VNZM lawsuit is also noteworthy in connection with other factors. For example, the financial performance of an asset associated with PJSC Gazprom. So, earlier Elektrogaz on Fedresurs posted information about the negative value of net assets, which amounted to minus 621.7 million rubles.

Let us add that earlier experts assessed the state of Elektrogaz according to a number of indicators as critical. According to the results of the last year, the rating of the financial condition of the JSC was determined by the Kontur.expert service as “very bad”. Despite this, and for example, a drop in revenue from 3.9 billion (2021) to 1 billion in 2022, Elektrogaz showed a profit at the end of last year.
However, as stated in the auditor’s report, the specialists did not receive complete information on profit and the amount of uncovered loss. Earlier, Elektrogaz showed a loss of 282.3 million rubles (2021) and 852 million (2020).
Forces to pay attention to this situation and the figure of the General Director of JSC “Elektrogaz” – Karabanov Alexander Dmitrievich. The fact is that earlier Karabanov headed another infamous bankrupt asset of Gazprom – Energogaz LLC, which acted as a subgeneral contractor for the Punginskoye UGS facility expansion project in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
Now Alexandra Karabanova, together with the ex-head of Gazprom Tsentrremont – and at the moment the general director of VIS Group JSC – Dmitry Doev, are trying to bring to subsidiary liability for the debts of Energogaz. In addition, as Pravda UrFO reported, a criminal case was initiated against Karabanov related to tax evasion, which was closed after the obligations were paid off. The publication also spoke in detail about a major tax scandal that unfolded in the assets of Gazprom.
Market participants also consider the fact that Karabanov is called Dmitry Doev’s “partner” or “nominal value” to be an important detail, behind which there is a long trail of conflicts related to Gazprom.

Another source notes that against the background of negative events around Doev, his biography was updated on a number of resources, “which can be regarded as an attempt to score an extremely negative agenda.” According to him, such a move could have been tested before Doev was appointed to VIS.
